Privacy policy

A plain-language explanation of the information involved when you search the directory, share your location or contact us.

Effective September 2, 2026

Find Dry Ice is designed to work without an account. We collect as little personal information as practical and describe below what the site handles today.

Information you choose to provide

If you email [email protected], we receive your email address, the message and any information or attachments you include. We use that material to answer the message, investigate a directory correction, review a proposed listing or address another request.

Please do not send payment information, government identification numbers, medical records or other sensitive personal information. Find Dry Ice does not need those details to operate the directory.

Search results are filtered and sorted in your browser from the directory data included with the site. A city or ZIP code entered into the search field appears in the page address as a search query. Like any requested URL, it may be included in standard hosting or security logs. We do not maintain a separate database of search histories.

Optional device location

Selecting “Use my location” asks your browser for permission through its built-in geolocation feature. If you approve, the coordinates are placed in temporary session storage in your browser and used to estimate straight-line distances. The coordinates are not added to the page address and Find Dry Ice does not intentionally transmit them to its own database.

Session storage normally lasts only for the current browser tab or session. You may deny location permission and search by city or ZIP code instead. Your browser or device provider may have its own practices for determining location.

Technical information

The companies that host, secure and deliver the website may process routine request information such as an IP address, browser and device type, requested URL, referring page, timestamps and security events. This information supports site delivery, reliability, abuse prevention and troubleshooting.

The site currently loads its typefaces from Google Fonts. That request may provide Google with standard connection information, including an IP address and browser information, under Google’s own privacy practices.

Analytics, cookies and advertising

Find Dry Ice does not currently operate user accounts, place its own advertising cookies or use a separate audience-analytics service. Advertisement spaces shown on the site are placeholders and do not currently load a third-party advertising network.

If analytics or advertising technology is activated later, this policy will be updated to identify the service and explain any choices available to visitors before those practices are represented here as current.

When information may be shared

We do not sell personal information. Information may be handled by service providers that help operate email, hosting and website security. It may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect the site or others, investigate abuse or enforce site policies.

If you report a business correction, we may verify the factual issue with the listed business or a public source. We will not intentionally publish your personal contact information as part of a listing.

Location pages link to independent supplier websites, map services and telephone numbers. Following a link, requesting directions or calling a seller takes you to a service that Find Dry Ice does not control. Review that provider’s privacy practices if you have questions about its data handling.

Retention and security

Email and correction records are kept only as long as reasonably useful for responding, documenting a listing decision, preventing abuse or meeting legal obligations. No internet transmission or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure, but we use reasonable measures appropriate to the limited information we handle.

Children’s privacy

Find Dry Ice is a general directory and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly request personal information from children. A parent or guardian who believes a child has sent personal information may contact us so it can be reviewed and removed when appropriate.

Questions and privacy requests

To ask about this policy or request review of personal information you sent directly to us, email [email protected]. We may need enough information to identify the message or record involved.

Policy changes

We may revise this policy as the directory adds features, states, forms, analytics or advertising. The effective date at the top will change when a material revision is published.
